Support your local small businesses
“Shop Local, support your local small businesses”, I am sure we have all heard this before, but do we all practice this on a regular basis in our everyday purchases? I know that I do not always practice what I preach when it comes to my shopping habits/choices. I love Amazon.com. I feel that Amazon is going to, over time, possibly put a lot of the “Big Box” super stores out of business. I, like most of you out there, work very long days, and also have a part time job. My wife has three jobs currently, not including running our household and taking care of our 2 teenage girls. Time is a luxury we do not have a lot of, so utilizing online shopping is sometimes the only way I can purchase anything. Enough about online shopping, I want to talk about supporting local small businesses like Windsor Tire/Mass Tire.
As I have written in previous blogs, we are a locally family owned business, with 5 tire/Automotive repair locations, and a Mighty Auto Parts distributor. We are one of the “little guys” and we truly have so much to offer. Just like so many other small local businesses in your community that are plugging away every day in this uncertain economy, doing the best they can to survive and thrive. Shopping local not only helps small businesses succeed, it greatly assists the community in which they, and you are located. Whether it is through increased tax revenue, charitable donations made locally, school sports sponsorships, food drives for the local food pantry, the list of positives that occur from a local, small business is endless.
So next time you need to purchase anything, search out one of your local small businesses and give them a chance, I am sure will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
